Being a working mom is hard. It feels like you are trying to please too many people at one time. But in my world, my children, my family will ALWAYS come first.
I'm in a hard situation at work. I'm working under this man for the third time in my career here at IBM. (And I use career lightly.) He is all about IBM. He thinks IBM should come before everything. Got a sick child? They can stay home by themselves or you should call a family member to take care of them. Ummm no, that doesn't work. For one, my kids aren't old enough to stay home by themselves. And why would I call in a family member? My children are my responsibility!
So here I am again. At work, while my child is sick. He was running 102+ fever all day yesterday with a lovely sounding cough. As of 4am this morning he wasn't burning up and said he was feeling better. (I accidentally woke him up feeling his forehead.) Do I think I will be at work all day? Not likely...

Why is it I keep getting stuck under the same manager. I think this is my 3rd time working for him and each time he has made my work life totally blow.
Things were hunky dory before I had Ella. I actually liked my job. Yes, I hated getting up at 4am, but who wouldn't. There were plenty of times I wanted to be home with my babies rather then work, but all in all, things were going a-ok. Then 4 days before I had her, I was given the most dreadful news ever. That this man would once again be my manager. NOOOOOO!!!!!!
I've worked for this company almost 10 years now, and once again I am getting the shit work, while others sit on their arses and don't do a damn thing all day long. This "other" has been here a little over a year. Why does this happen to me? BECAUSE I AM A FEMALE!
I keep trying to remind myself that there is an light at the end of my tunnel. I have 3 more years before I can test to be a RN. 3 years, that isn't very long, right?
I don't think I can work here for that much longer. Especially under this man. GRRRRRR!

My precious Ella is 3 months old today. As usual, time is flying by!
I thought I would share some tidbits about my baby.
Her many nicknames:
Ella
Ella Bella Cinderella
Smella
Yella
Stella
Tabitha
Sister
Pretty girl
Her personality:
Happy, happy happy!
She smiles a lot. I think she has laughed a few times, but it's hard to figure out if the noise she makes is a laugh or not.
Favorite things:
Her swing - this is currently her favorite place to nap
The mobile over her crib. She loves to watch her "friends" go around and listen to the music
Baths
Laying on her changing table
Dislikes:
Being in her carseat
Tummy time
Waiting to eat of course!
I will post later today or tomorrow with some recent pictures of her!

I absolutely love this time of year. The only thing I could do without is the cold weather.
